What is actually known

Every question we track, the answer, how well we know it, what would change it and the date we last looked. Two different things are recorded separately on purpose: what the answer is, and how well sourced it is. A well sourced no and a guessed no are not the same thing.

  1. Does GTA 6 launch on 19 November 2026?

    Yes, 19 November 2026 Confirmed

Rockstar states the date on its own product page. Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed it with the full-year results on 21 May 2026: "I've been saying for some time that the release date is November 19." The date has moved twice before, from 2025 to May 2026 to November 2026, so the history is worth knowing, but nothing currently contradicts it. On 15 October 2026 Rockstar restated it in the post that carried the launch trailer: "Grand Theft Auto VI arrives November 19 to PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S."

  2. Which platforms does it launch on?

PS5 and Xbox Series X and S Confirmed

Rockstar names exactly two platforms on its own page: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Its pre-order post says the same, verbatim: "coming November 19 to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S." So does the launch trailer post of 15 October 2026, and the ESRB rating published since lists the same two, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. This row said "PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X and S" until 12 September 2026, which was wrong twice over: PS5 Pro Enhanced is a badge Sony puts on its own store page, so it is Sony describing a Rockstar game rather than Rockstar naming a platform, and a machine on a PS5 Pro is still a PlayStation 5. The badge is real and it is on the Sony listing. It is not a third platform.

  3. Is there a PC version?

    Not announced Unknown

No PC version has been announced and no storefront listing exists. For scale, Grand Theft Auto V reached PC roughly 19 months after its console release and Red Dead Redemption 2 roughly 13 months. That pattern points at late 2027 to 2028, which is our planning window and not a prediction. One report now points earlier: on 13 October 2026 GamesBeat wrote that Rockstar plans the PC version for the first quarter of 2027, citing four industry sources who asked not to be named, and Rockstar did not respond. A named publication asserting it makes the claim reported on our scale. It does not make it an announcement, and this row is about the announcement, so the answer stays where it is. The rumour register carries the report as its own entry, separate from the older February 2027 post.

  4. Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has announced an online or multiplayer mode for GTA 6, and no first-party listing names one. Every claim that one ships at launch traces to commentary rather than to either company. Note the neighbouring question on this board: an online service is planned, and Rockstar said so itself in a court filing. Planned is not the same as at launch, and this row is about at launch.

Changes if Rockstar announces one, or a listing names it

  5. Is an online mode planned at all?

Yes, per Rockstar’s own court filing Confirmed

This is the distinction nobody else draws, and it matters. Rockstar has announced no online mode. But in its own filed grounds of resistance in a UK employment tribunal, reported on 14 January 2026, the company said it was "gravely concerned" that employees had shared information "relating to the content and features of an unannounced online service. They discussed the specific number of online players planned for this service, a material feature of this new title, which has not yet been revealed by Rockstar." A company does not describe a feature as material to a title it is not building. So the service is planned, confirmed by Rockstar in a legal document. What remains unknown is its name, its date, whether it is in the game at launch, and its size: the 32-player figure reported alongside the filing is ambiguous, because GTA Online already runs 32-player sessions. One more thing belongs in the open, because we would want it stated if someone else were making this argument: the filed words say "this new title", not "Grand Theft Auto VI". The tie to GTA 6 comes from the hearing around them, where Rockstar's own barrister referred to a "top secret" GTA 6 feature in the same messages. That is strong, and it is still one step short of the document naming the game.

Changes if Rockstar announces the service, names it, or dates it

  6. Will FiveM support GTA 6?

    No statement on record Unknown

Rockstar has owned Cfx.re, which makes FiveM and RedM, since August 2023. Neither has said anything about GTA 6 support. Ownership is a reason it is possible, not evidence that it is planned.

Changes if Cfx.re or Rockstar says anything at all about GTA 6 support

    Checked 17.10.2026

  7. Roleplay servers run on modified game clients. FiveM and every comparable framework are PC only, and console platform policy does not permit the client modification they require. This is a platform constraint, not a Rockstar decision, and nothing about GTA 6 changes it.

Changes if Console modding policy changes, which it has not in twenty years

    Checked 17.10.2026

  8. Do GTA 6 roleplay servers exist?

    None exist Confirmed

None exist and none are announced. Two things have to happen first: a PC version, and a multiplayer layer that tolerates third-party servers. Neither has happened. Any site listing GTA 6 roleplay servers today is listing inventory that does not exist.

Changes if A PC build ships and a multiplayer framework supports it

A named publication asserts it, or the company’s words reached us through someone else’s page.
Rumour
One origin, repeated. Repetition is not corroboration.

No evidence either way. We say so rather than guess.
